For those of you who may not know me, my name is Ashleigh Lay and I am a professional actress and singer in New York City. First and foremost, I love to perform. I started singing when I was 8 and acting when I was 11 (I have Ariel, the Little Mermaid, to thank for that). I went to college for musical theatre and now I'm a professional actress in NYC. When I was little, I lived on an island in the Carribean and so I also have a big ol' place in my heart for the ocean and everything to do with it. I've been a certified SCUBA diver since I was 16. I love boats. I love fishies. Put me on a beach and I am (ahem) happy as a clam. I also love photography (I recently resigned myself to owning a digital camera but I DO know how to develop photos the old fashioned way...mmm...chemicals and photo paper...). I do a lot of writing in my spare time...journals and poetry mostly but I also dabble in fiction and playwriting. I am terrible at all sports, except badminton (that's my crazy british blood) but I love to watch a good Redskins game. I'm addicted to eating out. I can cook...but why? I hate reality TV...but I can't resist a makeover show. I'm considering a full time career insulting our president and his policies. Oh yeah, and like every self-respecting New York female...I have relationships with beautiful shoes.

Ever since I went away to college, I've never really been into TV...but I am a die hard "Sex and the City" fan. I'm a Carrie. If you love the show then you know what I mean by that.
